” But we will give ourselves continually to prayer, and the ministry of the word”. (Acts 6:4)

The Holy Spirit has a ministry in the church and in the life of the believer, so also has the Word. The parable of the sower introduces us to the ministry of God’s Word in our lives. (see Matthew 13). The potency and operations of God’s glorious Word.
The ministry of the Word is in folds and this scripture reveals them. “All scripture is given by the inspiration of God,  and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction and instruction in righteousness… ”  (2 Timothy 3:16)

The fundamental folds of the ministry of God’s Word in the life of a believer are:
For doctrine: to teach the believer the principles of Christ,  the will of God, to build faith and enlighten through the impartation of doctrine.
For reproof: to test the standards in the believer’s life to prove them true and pure.  Also,  to make the convictions produced by the Spirit of God concrete, by bearing witness to them.
For correction: God’s word does much restorative work to gradually conform us to the life and character of Christ. Through reversing any deviance from God’s will, purposes, and His excellence.
For instruction: Both the “logos” and “rhema” educate the spirit, soul, and mind as well as train our bodies. God’s Word instructs our entire being.
So that “the man of God may be perfect (lacking nothing inability and grace), thoroughly furnished unto all good works ” -verse 17

God’s word works in your life for your good.  Never to condemn the believer, but to metamorphose you into the glorious statue of Christ.

Glory to God!

Open up your heart and mind to the ministry of God’s Word, always!
